Walking spots

Are you looking for a nice place to get out into nature and stretch your legs? We have chosen a few nice spots not too far from Hazerswoude-dorp where you can go out for nice walks through the forest, dunes or fields.

Hollands Duin – Noordwijk

The Dutch dunes are magnificent! It is a beautiful protected area along the beach where the vegetation is completely different from the rest of Holland. You can take different hiking routes depending on the length of the walk. The fresh salty air and wind from the sea, it is super calming and refreshing to visit this area!

Along the beach you will find several nice beach bars where you can hop in for lunch, a drink or snack!

Rottemeren – Bleiswijk

A 20 minute drive away from our place you can find the lakes, Rottemeren. It is a typical dutch scenery with a lot of water and windmills! You can walk along the lake. It is also a great spot to visit by bike!

Panbos – Wassenaar

Pan van Persijn (Panbos) is a beautiful area next to the sea. The scenery is a mix between forest and dunes and has nice playgrounds for children too. They also have a big area where you can see deers, goats and other animals. You can visit an interesting tankwall from the second world war that goes right through the forest, you can even walk on top of it!

After your walk you can enjoy a lunch at the restaurant inside the forest or have traditional pancakes just opposite the entrance at the Pannenkoeken Boerderij.

Bieslandse Bos- Delftse Hout

Within half an hour you can reach the Bieslandse Bos and the Dobbeplas. This is a lovely green area with loads of canals and small lakes which makes it a great place to see different types of birds.

You can follow different routes, for example the Groene Hartpad which leads you through the forest, along the canals and passes several nice bars to stop for a coffee with a nice view!
